Navigation on WebTHAL
We advise you to read the following instructions working at the same time on the applicative.

To do that is necessary to open a second window choosing in File menu:
- New
- Navigator Window
- Set up the address http://www.thalassemia.it and go on
- Make the autentication typing the login and the password given by e-mail
- In the following page:
- Select the patient you want to work on
- Select the records you want to work on
- Select the action to make among the following ones:

Make the record add of a new patient if the setted record is the register, or of the datas related to the records and to the marked patient (a new admission, an investigation). It's necessary confirming the record add clicking on the button Record add or cancelling it clicking on Cancel

Modify. In the case of the register the record update mask of the selected patient immediately appears; in the case of other records, appears the list of the already recorded admission/visit's dates, and it's necessary to select, among them, the date of the record you must modifie and to confirm with
Make .

Take vision of the clinical record for the print; it requires the introduction of the temporal break to take in consideration and the print kind; clicking on the icon it's possible to select/deselect all the prints. On the following page, that contains the clinical record, click on to do the print. In the case that the horizontal print is not setted by default, set it before printing.

It allows the execution of partial researches on the setted records.
From the principal menu select the patient, the Admissions records and click on the research button.
When the research mask appears it's possible to cancel the name and surname simply clicking on RESET button.
It's possible to choose what fields visualizing in the result of the research selecting/deselecting the checkbox placed in the column "Show in the list".
It's possible to choose an order clicking under the column "Order for" to indicate the field to make the order on: it's possible to choose only a field to order on.
Set up the research conditions, considering that, if you put more conditions, they must be all satisfied (logical operator AND).
Clicking on Search button to go on.
Example: if you need to find Ferritin and HCV levels for patients between 10 and 15 years old with anonymous results: deselect Surname and Name to have an anonymous research, select Ferritin and HCV and Birth's date fields, and set up the research conditions: Ferritin > 0 to exclude the admissions with void values (not inserted) or at 0 and HCV present (to exclude the admissions it doesn't appear in) and birth's date included between 1/1/1986 and 31/12/1991. If you want also to visualize the admissions without HCV you have not to lay out the "HCV present" condition.
It's possible to export the result of the research clicking on the floppy icon. In the appearing page point out: All the records of the research and keep local Browser selected. At this point the browser will require the application typology to import datas (if it hasn't been yet setted up): choose Excel.

It's advisable to move on the masks of datas input with the TAB key.
- The input of date kind's fields can be made typing only the day (it will be automatically extended with current month and year) or day and month (it will be automatically extended with the current year).
- Basic Data Records
Records reachable in record add and record update. It has definited mandatory fields that are underlined with the label .
- Family tree Records
In the moment you add a new patient, they are automatically added in this archive the records about the Father, the Mother and a Brother/Sister. So it's necessary doing the updating on the records about the Mother, the Father and the first Brother, and adding other possible Brothers/Sisters.
- Admissions Records
Records reachable in record add and record update. It includes all the datas concerning the Day_Hospitals. For the updating you need to select the admission's date among the dates that are shown (of all the selected patient's admissions).
- Investigations and Consultations Records
Records accessible in record add and record update. For the updating it's necessary to select the investigation's date, among all the dates of the examinations executed by the selected patient.
- Urinary Iron Excretion Records
Records accessible in record add and record update. Also in this case it must be selected the date of the urinary iron excretion that must be changed.
- Intensive Iron Chelation Records
Records accessible in record add and record update. For the updating select the chelation date among the presented ones.
- Annual Summary Chart
Records accessible only in record update. The annual summaries, one for each year, are automatically inserted in the records in case of patient adding or summary calculation (not yet feasible). It's necessary going on with the clinical history's insertion only with the updating.
- Heart Assessment Records
Records accessible in record add and record update. For the updating select the date of the examination that must be modified, among the presented ones.
- Holter E.K.G. Records
Records accessible in record add and record update. For the updating select the date of the examination that must be modified, among the presented ones.
- Echocardiogram Records
Records accessible in record add and record update. For the updating select the date of the examination that must be modified, among the presented ones.
- Ergospirometry Records
Records accessible in record add and record update. For the updating select the date of the examination that must be modified, among the presented ones.
